The Diocletian Palace is an interesting fortress to visit, the Domnio Cathedral found in the fortress is an original mausoleum of the Diocletian emperor. In the Jupiter Temple you'll also find a romantic bell tower that was remodeled in the Gothic Era with elements of our times.
The Gothic cloister of the Franciscan Convent is in the center of Split and is another place that you should definately visit while on vacation.
